TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com — The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of Siliwangi University (Unsil) promotes enhanced financial literacy and inclusion on campus via concrete actions in the capital market sector.
One measure taken was the collective opening of securities accounts by FEB Unsil lecturers. The activity was carried out on September 8, 2026, in partnership with PT Reliance Sekuritas Indonesia Tbk’s Tasikmalaya Representative Office.
This initiative forms part of FEB Unsil’s effort to develop education that goes beyond theory, providing direct experience for academic staff in grasping the world of investment and capital markets.

Through this activity, the Indonesia Stock Exchange Investment Gallery (GIBEI) FEB Unsil–Reliance Sec is further optimized as a learning and capital market introduction platform within the university.
GIBEI’s presence is considered strategically important as it connects academia with the capital market industry. Academic community can gain insight into investment mechanisms, portfolio management, and trading dynamics on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
Beyond serving as an educational tool for lecturers and students, GIBEI FEB Unsil–Reliance is also intended to become a center for developing financial literacy and inclusion, delivering broader benefits to the community in the East Priangan region.
The Director of GIBEI FEB Unsil–RELI and Chair of the Management Department at FEB Unsil, R. Lucky Radi Rinandiyana, S.E., M.Si., stated that lecturers’ direct involvement in capital market activities is part of the implementation of experience-based learning.
He opined that the application of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and Project-Based Learning (PJBL) requires exemplary behavior from educators. Lecturers should not only convey investment material but also understand its practical aspects directly.
“Amid the transformation of OBE and PJBL methods, lecturers must not merely stand on the lecture stage and give instructions. We must start first,” Lucky said.
He added that the simultaneous opening of stock accounts constitutes one of FEB Unsil’s commitments to building a learning ecosystem that closely mirrors actual financial industry conditions.
