The series is an adaptation of a light novel penned by Hiromu and drawn by raemz. Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle has been published by Shogakukan’s Gagaga Bunko label since June 2019. A manga version illustrated by Bobcat launched on Square Enix’s Manga Up! platform in April 2020.
Yen Press acquired the English rights to the light novel, summarizing the plot:
Popularity is tough. Saku Chitose is the top kid at his high school—no doubt. He has a bulletproof reputation that even brutal online attacks can’t crack. His friends are as charming on the inside as they are on the outside. But when a teacher asks him to help bring back a student who’s been locked in their room for months, Saku’s flawless life hits a snag. Is this some sort of normal harem nonsense…?
