BANDUNG, Thecuy.com – A young man from Singaparna, Tasikmalaya Regency, went viral on social media after being mugged in Bandung. He was en route to a job interview in Andir, Bandung, when his motorcycle, cash, and mobile phone were stolen.
Fortunately, the victim survived without any injuries. He is now assisted by locals to contact his family in Tasikmalaya.
The victim was nearly tricked into sending money via transfer, but this did not happen because people nearby soon became aware of the incident.
Investigation of witnesses in the Cilembang tragedy, Tasikmalaya City Police revealed this fact: a victim of alleged violence in Cilembang died, and Tasikmalaya City Police continue to track the perpetrator’s trail.
CCTV footage shows two perpetrators riding together on the victim’s motorcycle. Earlier, they asked the victim for his phone and Rp 100,000, claiming they needed it to buy internet quota.
One of them took the phone and the cash to a gas station and vanished. The other kept the victim spinning around on the motorcycle to waste time and mislead him, eventually abandoning the victim at another location.
In the less than 60‑second video, two perpetrators are seen riding the victim’s motorcycle. A bystander, suspicious, stood up and attempted to stop them.
Initially, the victim was riding his motorcycle and got lost near the Moh Toha intersection on Soekarno Hatta Street in Bandung after his internet data ran out while using Google Maps.
Then the criminals appeared: two individuals feigning friendliness, calling themselves “pious people”, and offering to give the victim a ride.
Instead, the victim was dropped off in a deserted area in Babakan Priangan, Ciseureuh, Regol, Bandung. Realizing his bike was taken, he screamed. The perpetrators fled, panicking when the motorcycle slipped, and they ran away leaving it behind.
Locals going about their business near the scene immediately chased the offenders and caught them. The community kept the perpetrators from being lynched and handed them over to the Regol Police Station in Bandung.
79 UBK PSDKU Tasikmalaya graduates have been declared eligible, with 90 % reported to have found employment. Hundreds of residents of Perum BMM Tasikmalaya celebrated Independence Day with a fun walk and carnival.
“Pa Dedi, the people have defeated the muggers… they are angry,” said one of the citizens who managed to capture the perpetrator.
According to the locals, a small crowbar‑like iron was discovered hidden behind the perpetrator’s clothing. It was also learned that he was a repeat offender who had been released from prison just two months earlier.
