The Young Kyai Association (IKM) of Tasikmalaya City still held a charity for orphan children and a mass circumcision event at the Putra Laksana Tofu Company Complex, Karangpawitan Village, Mangkubumi District, Tasikmalaya City, on Tuesday (1/9/2026).
Deputy Mayor of Tasikmalaya, Diky Candra, who attended the event, praised the collaborative and mutual‑funding execution of the gathering.

According to Diky, given the current fiscal condition of the Tasikmalaya City Government, it is not possible to assist all community activities.
“We cannot do much under the current circumstances. But thank God there is assistance from DPD member Mr. Komeng and DPR Commission III member Mrs. Lola Nelria Oktavia,” Diky told reporters.
Diky admitted that he also acted as a liaison to ensure that the assistance from the two legislators could be provided to support IKM’s activities.
He even referred to himself as a “broker of heaven” because he served as an intermediary for the social aid.
“I sent a photo and video of the activities to him earlier. Thank God there is assistance. The amount is very relative. However, the concern of the DPD and DPR members far away still exists for the people of Tasikmalaya,” he explained.
“I’m just a broker, a broker of heaven for IKM’s activities. Hopefully it helps,” Diky added.
According to him, the amount of aid is not the main issue. What matters more is the concern and attention given to the people of Tasikmalaya City.

Amid the limited fiscal capacity of the regional government, support from various parties, Diky said, is a form of mutual assistance that can help keep community social activities ongoing.
Meanwhile, Diky Candra’s presence at the event also attracted the attention of the residents and attendees.
Several times Diky even had to stop because residents asked him to take a selfie together.
For Diky, the moment was not just about taking a group photo. He considered simple interaction with residents as a way of sharing happiness.
