Black Clover Season 2 is slated to be one of five Fall 2026 series receiving an early cinema showcase under Crunchyroll Anime Nights SNEAK PEEK. This exclusive single-night event is set for September 21 at 7 p.m. local time at selected venues across the United States and Canada, preceding the titles’ October launches on Crunchyroll. Admission is currently available.
Additional titles in the schedule are OVERGEARED, Firefly Wedding, The Vermilion Mask and PSYREN. Every episode will be shown in Japanese with English subtitles for accessibility.
Black Clover Season 2 has already been announced, with Ayataka Tanemura slated to helm the new installments and bring back the crew that worked on the series’ original broadcast and the 2023 movie Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King. The animation will be handled by PIERROT FILMS.
The night’s program also features previews of several upcoming series. PSYREN centers on Ageha Yoshina, a teen who stumbles upon a curious red phone card and finds himself thrust into a lethal contest while searching for his vanished childhood friend, Sakurako Amamiya. Studio SATELIGHT oversees the animation production.
Firefly Wedding tells the story of Satoko, a frail noble’s daughter who sees her plans to marry for security shattered when she is marked for assassination by the lone Shinpei. In a bid to survive, she proposes an unlikely marriage to the very assassin sent to kill her. Studio David Production handles the animation.
In OVERGEARED, Youngwoo Shin is an indie gamer who uses the alias Grid while playing the hit VR game Satisfy. His life shifts when he uncovers ancient secrets of a legendary blacksmith, but the newfound power resets him to level one. Studio J.C. Staff supervises the adaptation.
The final title, The Vermilion Mask, follows Peru, an apprentice of the renowned mask‑smith Gaston Roux. After succumbing to the Mask of the Warrior God, he murders his friends and master, then resolves to eradicate the remaining masks crafted by Gaston while striving to atone for his deeds. Studio
Crunchyroll Anime Nights operates as a regular cinema series, taking place on the third Monday of every month. It reaches over 280 venues across the United States and Canada, partnering with major theater brands such as AMC Theatres, Regal, Cinemark, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, Harkins Theatres, Cineplex and Landmark Cinemas. The Summer 2026 showcase featured Young Ladies Don’t Play Fighting Games, Skeleton Knight in Another World Season 2, and Clevatess Season 2.
