BanG Dream! did it again. They preserved the series’ long‑standing legacy and presented another standout Episode 10.
In my previous write‑up, Yumemita’s predicament kept intensifying, and initially I truly thought there was no way the conflict could be resolved in the following episode. Yet they managed it, and the thing that most astonished me was that it never seemed hurried.
What actually unfolded was that one issue simply stopped being a hurdle in order to tackle another. This is precisely what Nonoka did; she quit being concerned about everyone’s expectations or gossip surrounding her. Even when numerous burdens pressed down on her, she stayed determined, revealing the strength of her resolve. I had imagined that perhaps Arale’s delightful voice would rescue her, or that someone from her history might step in with needed encouragement, but that didn’t happen.
She accomplishes it on her own, and I adore that. It demonstrates that life’s hardships don’t have to dampen someone’s spirits. Certain individuals radiate such optimism, refusing to let gloom take over, no matter how tough the situation becomes. Nonoka’s perpetual radiance is what renders her truly unique.

I remain astonished by Yumemita’s evolution because virtually every preconception I held about Nonoka proved inaccurate. I originally pictured her as merely the band’s morale‑boosting figure, the one who uplifts spirits and encourages reunification without taking the lead on decisive actions. Yet she fulfilled both roles—providing support and shouldering the weight. Yuno, whom I had previously labeled the dark horse, was not the true catalyst; it was Nonoka the entire time.
Meanwhile, Yuno’s background was revealed, clarifying why she chose to “quit.” She is deeply devoted to music and seeks collaborators who share that fervor. However, when the group’s circumstances deteriorated, she opted to step back while preserving her own musical pursuits. Now that Nonoka has rallied the members, I doubt Yuno will remain absent from performances.
Furthermore, the lineup for Yuno’s former ensemble was exceptionally talented; the voices were instantly recognizable. The series consistently secures popular voice actors for its side groups, and this selection was particularly fitting given that Yuno’s favorite idol is Maaya Uchida. I can now envision Yuno chuckling during recordings, aware that she shares canonical moments with her beloved seiyu within the anime universe.

After most conflicts concluded, we finally witnessed the authentic character of Mugendai MewType: pure chaos. The beach sequence shone brilliantly, revealing their outlandish personalities. They are a pack of goofy misfits engaging in absurd antics, yet they accomplish it in perfect synchrony. Within their mayhem lies a striking harmony, which best defines this group. Essentially, they constitute a whimsical, chaotic‑good band, and I find that delightfully quirky.
I must concede that Mugendai MewType initially failed to captivate me. Ranking the principal BanG Dream! groups by my affection for their personas, narratives, and soundtracks would place MewType near the bottom, albeit just ahead of the last. (I emphasize that I cherish every ensemble and hold no genuine disdain for any.) Yet, as their storyline unfolded and their true identities emerged, MewType vaulted into my Top 5. I have developed a fondness for these quirky girls and cherish them because of it.
This quality elevates Episode 10 to a standout installment. It is unequivocally Yumemita’s strongest episode to date, as it first conveyed the series’ unmistakable declaration that this is Mugendai MewType. The narrative embraced chaos, drama, and absurdity, yet it remained profoundly heartwarming throughout.

A crucial element contributing to the episode’s brilliance was Viola’s total non‑presence. For the first time, she made not a single appearance, which is precisely why the installment resonated so strongly with MewType’s essence. Freed from Viola’s oversight, the members could authentically express themselves, allowing their distinct personalities, camaraderie, and the ludicrous harmony thriving within their disorder to shine forth.
Nevertheless, viewing the episode leaves one with the impression that nothing has been definitively settled. An underlying sense persists that this is merely the lull preceding the tempest, as Viola remains active, possessing recordings and nursing malevolent intentions. I anticipate she will unleash a decisive strike within the forthcoming episodes. Nonetheless, I am surprisingly assured that Yumemita, fortified by their fresh determination, will endure any onslaught she unleashes.

Viola arguably constitutes the most malevolent entity ever introduced in BanG Dream!, yet her misfortune lies in confronting the franchise’s most turbulent ensemble. I earnestly hope the forthcoming installments meet expectations and that the impending confrontation between Yumemita and Viola delivers the grand cinematic resolution the narrative has been steadily cultivating.
At present, BanG Dream! YUME∞MITA stands at a critical juncture. Will it follow the trajectory of MyGO!!!!!—culminating in a comparatively tranquil denouement and ultimately spawning a fresh group that will make significant impacts—or will it adopt the Ave Mujica approach, unveiling unforeseen elements and inciting an even more tumultuous fragmentation than the aunt‑niece revelation involving Uika and Sakiko? My honest assessment is one of genuine uncertainty, and that ambiguity fuels the anticipation for the upcoming episode.
Nevertheless, at this moment, BanG Dream! YUME∞MITA Episode 10 ranks among my personal favorites across the whole series.
