Studio TMS Entertainment is set to produce the animation again, reusing Yo Moriyama for character design and Taku Kishimoto for series composition.
The newly released teaser is dubbed the “other version” and once more showcases Taro Sakamoto and Shin Asakura. The characters also appeared in the first teaser for the sequel. Check it out below.
The second season will be available only on Netflix, and you can view the trailer beneath.
Yuto Suzuki both writes and illustrates the SAKAMOTO DAYS manga. The series has been featured in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump since 2020 and has amassed 28 volumes as of August 4, 2026. VIZ Media secured the English licensing rights. Additionally, a live‑action film based on the story premiered in Japan during the 2026 Golden Week (April 29 – May 5).
The story follows Taro Sakamoto, a legendary hitman who retired in order to marry and have a child. He now runs a store, but his past life is not that easy to get rid off. Despite looking very different as a retiree, Sakamoto will not hesitate to protect his family and take down anyone who tries to put them in danger.
