TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com — The Islamic Brotherhood Front (FPI) of Tasikmalaya City expressed appreciation for the police action that detained several individuals suspected of desecrating the Qur’an during The Sounds Project music festival in North Jakarta, Ancol.
The appreciation was voiced by the leadership and members of FPI Tasikmalaya during a courtesy visit to the Tasikmalaya City Police Headquarters on Friday (14/8/2026). The delegation was headed by the Chairman of FPI Tasikmalaya, KH Muhammad Yan-Yan Al Bayani S.Kom.I., M.Pd.
The Secretary of the Regional Executive Board of FPI Tasikmalaya, Ustaz Robi Awaludin S.Pd., stated that the visit was not only for silaturahmi but also served as an opportunity to introduce the FPI members to the new Tasikmalaya City Police Chief, AKBP Andik Eko Siswanto SH., S.IK., MH.

At approximately 14.00 WIB, the delegation, which included DPW executives, DPC chairpersons, and the FPI fighting wing chair, was received directly by the Tasikmalaya City Police Chief in his office.
During the meeting, KH Muhammad Yan-Yan Al Bayani conveyed appreciation to the police, particularly the Metro Jaya Police, for their rapid response in handling the alleged Qur’an desecration case in Jakarta.
“We express our highest appreciation and respect to the police who have fulfilled the hopes of the Islamic community by promptly arresting the perpetrators of Qur’an desecration in Jakarta,” said KH Yan-Yan.
In addition to discussing the case, the meeting also addressed various security issues and social problems that are a concern in Tasikmalaya City, including criminal acts, illegal alcohol distribution, narcotics, prostitution, LGBT, and other social issues. FPI hopes that synergy between the police, ulama, religious figures, Islamic activists, and society can be further strengthened to maintain security and condusivity in Tasikmalaya.
Also present was the Chairman of the Islamic Brotherhood Advocates (API), Dr. Ir. Yogi Yogaswara S.Sy., MH. He said that during the meeting, they also discussed legal steps against the distribution of alcoholic beverages.
“We also discussed legal efforts to prosecute alcohol dealers so they receive severe punishment, thereby creating a deterrent effect,” said Yogi.

Meanwhile, Tasikmalaya City Police Chief AKBP Andik Eko Siswanto welcomed the FPI delegation’s visit.
