BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War has officially welcomed Yuki Kaji into its voice ensemble, with him portraying the mature form of Toshiro Hitsugaya. He appears for the first time in Episode 44, which aired on August 15, 2026. The character is formally designated as “Toshiro Hitsugaya (Complete Bankai).”
Kaji is recognized for a host of prominent roles, such as Eren Jeager in Attack on Titan, Shoto Todoroki in My Hero Academia, Meliodas in The Seven Deadly Sins, Kenma Kozume in Haikyu!!, and many more.
Created by Tite Kubo, BLEACH ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2001 to 2016 and finished after 74 volumes. The series has sold over 130 million copies globally, ranking among the best‑selling manga ever.
The first anime series ran from 2004 to 2012 and spawned four movies. The franchise made a comeback in 2022 with BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War, which adapts the manga’s concluding storyline. Its final installment (Part 4) is slated for a July release. Tite Kubo has indicated that this part will incorporate more original material than earlier sections, extending the manga’s ultimate battles.
In a related development, BLEACH: Mirrors High has displayed its lead characters in a new trailer, presenting original character illustrations crafted by Tite Kubo.
