HIDIVE and Japan’s Mainichi Broadcasting System (MBS) are broadening their anime collaboration via a fresh multi-year output pact.
Under the terms, HIDIVE will have the exclusive right to simulcast chosen upcoming MBS anime series outside Asia for several seasons. The distribution will cover the United States and Canada, plus regions such as the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
The collaboration between the firms was initially launched in 2023. Shows released under the current deal comprise My Gift Lvl 9999 Unlimited Gacha, I Parry Everything, The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior, and Hell Mode: The Hardcore Gamer Dominates in Another World With Garbage Balancing.
Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden Leads the New Expansion
The inaugural series covered by the broadened pact is Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden, slated to debut in Japan in October 2026 and be available worldwide as part of HIDIVE’s Fall 2026 simulcast season.
Before the broadcast begins, HIDIVE will present a U.S. preview of the show at Anime NYC 2026 on August 21.
This series originates from a light novel penned by Minamino Umikaze and showcases art by Katana Canata and Jishaku. It is overseen by director Motoki Nakanishi, with Haruta Segi as assistant director and Gigaemon Ichikawa managing the series composition. The animation work is produced by KONAMI animation, and the voice talents feature Honoka Inoue in the role of Nia Liston, Fuka Izumi as Lynokis Funk, Rinna Honnizumi as Hildetaura Altoire, and Rina Hidaka as Reliared Silver.
Further titles slated under the fresh MBS arrangement remain undisclosed at this moment.
HIDIVE’s President, John Ledford, shared his thoughts on the enlarged collaboration:

We are eager to launch the first title of this deal, ‘Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden,’ at Anime NYC later this month, preceding its October premiere as part of HIDIVE’s Fall 2026 Simulcast Season.”
MBS Director Mihoko Shibata also spoke about the ongoing nature of the partnership:
“During the last three years, our collaboration with AMC Global Media and HIDIVE has greatly increased the worldwide exposure of MBS’s animated productions, delivering our popular series to passionate anime fans everywhere. We are excited to keep this fruitful partnership alive through a fresh multi-year output agreement. Starting with ‘Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden,’ we are eager to keep releasing our most highly awaited titles to global viewers and build the worldwide anime community side by side.”
