TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – A national-level confidence has once again been bestowed upon the civil servants (ASN) of Tasikmalaya City.

Epi Mulyana, the sole civil servant from Tasikmalaya City holding the position of Head of the UPTD PPA of Tasikmalaya City, has been entrusted to join the protocol and ceremony team for the National Scout Day celebration and the XI 2026 National Jamboree (Jamnas).

It is not merely about representing the region; Epi has been assigned a highly strategic role.

The assignment took place during the activities from August 5 to 21, 2026, at the Pramuka Camping Ground and Tourist Village (Buperta), Cibubur, East Jakarta.

This trust is based on the Decree of the National Executive Board (Kwarnas) of the Scout Movement, Number 031 of 2026.

For Epi, the appointment is not only a duty but also a source of pride.

Moreover, he says he has received similar trust for 12 years during every National Scout Day celebration and three National Jamborees.

“Alhamdulillah, I never imagined this would happen; it’s an honor for me to be assigned to such a national-level role. It’s also been a source of pride for the past 12 years, during every National Scout Day and three National Jamborees, to consistently receive this trust,” Epi told Radar on Sunday (9/8/2026).

Beyond his busy schedule of performing national protocol duties, Epi also carries another mission on behalf of Tasikmalaya City.

His presence is also intended to accompany the Tasikmalaya City Scout contingent, which consists of 40 participants in the National Jamboree.

He also asks for prayers that all the events will proceed smoothly.

“Please keep us in your prayers so that everything goes smoothly,” he said.

Epi explained that the National Jamboree is a routine event organized by the Scout Movement’s National Executive Board every five years.

The participants are Scout Scouts (Penggalang) aged 11-15, including representatives from the National Scout Organization (NSO) in the Asia-Pacific region.

In his view, the National Jamboree is not merely a camping activity or a large gathering of Scout members; it also carries a mission of character building and enhancing the skills of young generations.

“The goal, therefore, is to shape attitudes and behaviors, foster independence, improve skills, promote unity among Scout Scouts, and strengthen commitment to embodying and practicing the Scout Honor Code, namely the Scout Promise (Satya) and Scout Duty (Darma),” Epi said.
