Muichiro Tokito From Demon Slayer Gets 2026 Birthday Illustration by Ufotable

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba unveiled a brand‑new 2026 birthday illustration crafted by ufotable to honor Muichiro Tokito’s birthday. The Mist Hashira celebrates his special day on August 8. The character made only a fleeting appearance in the first Infinity Castle film, which has just begun streaming online alongside its Japanese Blu‑ray launch.

The studio also tends to mark major holidays such as Christmas, New Year, or Valentine’s Day. You can still view Muichiro’s illustration from last year, while the newest artwork is shown below.

Demon Slayer Background

Koyoharu Gotoge wrote and illustrated the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga series. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from February 2016 to May 2020, ending with a total of 23 published volumes.

The anime adaptation by ufotable kicked off with a 26‑episode Season 1, airing from April to September 2019. After its huge success, the sequel movie Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train premiered in October 2020 and is widely credited with launching the anime movie boom. The film was later re‑edited for an 18‑episode Season 2, which ran from October 2021 to February 2022. An 11‑episode Season 3 aired from April to June 2023, while Season 4 premiered from May to June 2024, paving the way for the final saga.

The opening instalment of the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle trilogy hit Japanese theaters on July 18, 2025 and quickly set a new record, grossing over 25 billion yen (approximately 174 million USD) in its first 31 days.

Following its domestic debut, the film launched internationally on August 14, arriving in North American cinemas on September 12 and shattering additional box‑office records. It later expanded to SCREENX and ULTRA 4DX screenings in Japan beginning February 20, marking the franchise’s first foray into multi‑screen and immersive 4DX formats.
