Garena has officially unveiled Palworld Online, a brand‑new mobile MMORPG inspired by Pocketpair’s popular survival title Palworld. Developed and published by Garena under an official license from Pocketpair, the title is set to launch in 2026.
Unlike the original PC release, Palworld Online centers on an MMO experience. Players can roam a vast open world, gather and nurture Pals, construct communal villages, and engage in both cooperative and competitive multiplayer gameplay. The title also features a unique main narrative plus exclusive side quests.
Garena says the title will include cooperative progression, enabling participants to team up, erect joint strongholds, tackle massive PvE raids, and join PvP clashes. Users can also tour each other’s outposts, team up on rare Pal hunts, and use captured beasts to automate crafting, manufacturing, and defensive operations.
This mobile adaptation has been tailored for handheld gaming, offering a touch‑friendly UI and optional one‑tap actions for erecting, moving buildings, and handling Pals, all while retaining the richness of the original gameplay.
Garena’s President, Terry Zhao, stated that the firm is collaborating tightly with Pocketpair to keep the original freedom and scale of Palworld while making it suitable for mobile platforms. Pocketpair’s CEO, Takuro Mizobe, noted that Garena’s expertise in mobile publishing and live‑service management positioned it as the ideal partner to deliver “a fresh Palworld experience” to gamers globally.
After its early‑access debut in 2024, Palworld quickly became one of the year’s top hits, moving millions of copies within days and drawing broad acclaim for its mix of creature capturing, survival crafting, automation, and multiplayer elements. Pocketpair has since kept expanding the title with significant content drops and has been exploring additional adaptations and licensing deals. The studio also tweaked gameplay in reaction to a patent suit from Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, altering how creatures are summoned and how travel works.
Among Garena’s flagship titles are Free Fire, slated for an anime series next year, as well as other hits such as Arena of Valor and Call of Duty: Mobile.
