Curious about who they are? Let’s discuss the 5 MCU heroes missing from Avengers: Doomsday.
Avengers: Doomsday will definitely be one of the craziest crossover events in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) history. The film is said to feature the most massive cast ever seen on the big screen! From current MCU heroes, the X-Men gang from the Fox era, to the Fantastic Four lineup from the First Steps universe, they will all join forces to fight Doctor Doom.
However, behind this super massive lineup, there are still several heroes whose presence has not been confirmed so far. Considering how important their roles are in this saga, the absence of these 5 heroes below truly worries fans. Especially the first one, it would be completely unreasonable if Marvel forgets about him!
Curious who they are? Let’s talk about 5 MCU superheroes not present in Avengers: Doomsday.
MCU Superheroes Not Appearing in Avengers: Doomsday
5. America Chavez
Considering this Multiverse Saga is basically about colliding realities, shouldn’t a superhero who can tear portals between dimensions be the most important character, right? When she debuted in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) became Scarlet Witch’s target because of her powers. Logically, Doctor Doom would definitely also need America’s strength to realize his evil intentions.
However, strangely, Xochitl Gomez’s name is not on the Doomsday cast list. Even though since 2022, her fate in the MCU has been unclear. If she doesn’t appear to save the multiverse, then what’s the point of Marvel building the Young Avengers crew all this time?
4. Iron Man
We know that Robert Downey Jr. has been confirmed to return to the MCU. However, he’s back as the main villain: Doctor Doom. On the other hand, Tony Stark alias Iron Man is the main foundation of the Avengers. Imagining a gigantic Avengers film without Iron Man (or at least one of his variants) feels like something’s missing.
Many fans are hoping this multiverse will provide an opportunity to showcase other Iron Man variants. From the ‘Superior Iron Man’ version to wild rumors mentioning Tom Cruise as a cameo. Basically, fans really want to see that armor fly again!
3. Black Panther (T’Challa)
The departure of the late Chadwick Boseman left a deep sorrow. The Black Panther title has been passed on to his sister, Shuri. However, it’s undeniable that many fans feel that King T’Challa’s figure is irreplaceable and hope Avengers: Doomsday can be a gateway to showcase a T’Challa variant from another universe.
Rumor has it that Ryan Coogler is preparing Black Panther 3 with Denzel Washington. It would be awesome if Marvel introduced a new T’Challa actor (recast) through the Doomsday film as a warm-up. It’s time for the audience (to move on) and see the King of Wakanda lead from the front again.
2. Blade
Blade’s fate in the MCU after Endgame is truly sad. His reboot project starring Oscar-winning actor Mahershala Ali has been announced since 2019 but the film hasn’t been finished yet. It’s really frustrating, isn’t it?
The only way Marvel can make up for it to fans is by giving a surprise appearance of Blade (Mahershala Ali) in Doomsday. Or, if not ready yet, at least bring back Wesley Snipes! After a cool appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine, this godfather of modern superhero films deserves an epic farewell stage before Doctor Doom destroys everything.
1. Wolverine
This is the most frustrating! Hugh Jackman just had an epic comeback and raked in trillions through Deadpool & Wolverine. They even got directly involved with the multiverse police (TVA). However, strangely, neither Hugh Jackman nor Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) appeared at all in the early marketing of Avengers: Doomsday.
If Wolverine truly doesn’t appear, it’s a severe plot hole! Hugh Jackman is a veteran hero who has built the foundation of superhero films long before the MCU existed. If the rumors about X-Men heroes (such as Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and James Marsden) who will fight Doom to the death are true, then Wolverine should be at the front line with them. It really would be a huge blunder if Marvel forgets Logan in such a crazy film!
What do you think? Among the five MCU superheroes not appearing in Avengers: Doomsday above, which one would you most like to see suddenly appear in the Avengers: Doomsday trailer later? Share your hopes and theories in the comments, okay!
