Jakarta | Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) is rapidly extending its Sharia‑compliant home‑ownership financing coverage throughout Indonesia. This strategic initiative is carried out via a collaboration with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, aiming to deliver inclusive, competitive, and advantageous housing financing for countless wage‑earning workers across the archipelago.

Through this synergy, active BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participants can access BSI Griya financing facilities boasting several benefits. Among them are guaranteed fixed instalments until the end of the financing term and a flexible tenor of up to 30 years to maintain monthly cash‑flow stability for customers.

BSI’s President Director, Anggoro Eko Cahyo, stressed that this partnership is part of BSI’s genuine commitment to support the government’s strategic programme aimed at solving the national housing shortage while stimulating economic growth. “The housing sector exerts a powerful spillover effect on a variety of downstream industries in Indonesia. By forging a strategic alliance with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, BSI offers a concrete solution for workers to secure decent housing under a fair Sharia framework,” Anggoro remarked.

He further noted that the BSI Griya service innovation has been deliberately crafted to cater to the needs of young customers who now dominate BSI’s home‑financing portfolio. Under the Sharia principle of stable instalments, workers’ family financial planning becomes more precise.

BSI’s dedication to housing finance is demonstrated by its solid business performance. By May 2026, the BSI Griya financing portfolio had grown to Rp60.80 trillion and continues to exhibit a steady, positive growth trend.

Overall, BSI’s financial fundamentals were in excellent shape as of May 2026. The bank recorded a net profit of Rp3.39 trillion, representing a robust 16.73 % year‑on‑year increase. This acceleration was propelled by financing disbursement of Rp335 trillion, up 14.60 % year‑on‑year, with the consumer segment leading the growth.

During a period of massive expansion, BSI consistently maintained healthy asset quality. This was reflected in an improved Gross Non‑Performing Financing (NPF) ratio of 1.80 % by May 2026, down from 1.88 % in the same period the previous year.

By strengthening inter‑institutional synergy and solid financial performance, BSI is confident it can continue to broaden Sharia financial inclusion while serving as a key pillar of social and economic well‑being for Indonesian society.

Echoing Anggoro’s remarks, BPJS President Director Saiful Hidayat stated that BSI’s role as a distributor of Additional Service Benefits (MLT) will further widen access and introduce more Sharia‑based housing financing alternatives for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participants.

Saiful elaborated that for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participants, the partnership is expected to make it easier to acquire a home as a long‑term asset and as preparation for a more comfortable retirement. Once this fundamental need is met, workers can focus more peacefully and productively on their jobs while building a brighter future for their families.

“We will continue to push this collaboration forward, extending it beyond housing Additional Service Benefits (MLT) to empower beneficiaries and the heirs of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participants,” Saiful concluded.
