This poses a challenge for the management of the Coordinating Body of Mosque Assemblies of the Indonesian Mosque Council (BKMM DMI) of Tasikmalaya City, who were inaugurated at RM Sambel Hejo on Sunday (11/10/2026). The new leadership of this organization is headed by Hj N Vera Amelia.
BKMM DMI of Tasikmalaya City is currently devising a strategy so that mosques are not only used for prayer and religious study. Thus, mosques will always be vibrant with various activities that have a positive impact on the community.

Furthermore, mosque assemblies also need encouragement to provide a broader impact. Namely by utilizing digital technology to expand the area of preaching.
The Chair of BKMM DMI of Tasikmalaya City, Hj N Vera Amelia, stated that her party is determined to enhance the prosperity of mosques. Thus, the presence of mosques can provide solutions to various problems existing in the community.
“A mosque is the center of civilization, encompassing economic issues, social issues, and BKMM will make that a reality,” she said.
Moreover, currently various aspects of people’s lives have already adopted and even depend on digital technology. This also poses a challenge for BKMM to be able to present religious studies conducted in mosques while every sermon is present on mobile phones through social media. “Thus, young people who often use social media will perhaps later encounter content from BKMM of Tasikmalaya City,” she said.
She also wishes to strengthen parents’ understanding for their children so that they are well-educated in both religious matters and general knowledge. Because it cannot be denied that digital advancement also provides negative impacts when not accompanied by knowledge and morals. “How can a mother truly be madrasatul ulla (primary school)?” she explained.
The inauguration and working meeting of BKMM DMI of Tasikmalaya City was also attended by representatives of the management of BKMM DMI West Java, the Chairman of DMI West Java, the Chairman of MUI Tasikmalaya City, government officials, and member of the Indonesian House of Representatives H Oleh Soleh.
