Multi-layered authority prompts KKMP Tasikmalaya to establish communication channels up to the central government.

TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com — Efforts to speed up the operation of the Merah Putih Sub‑Cooperative (KKMP) in Tasikmalaya City still encounter authority issues.

Forum Komunikasi KKMP (FK‑KKMP) of Tasikmalaya City chose to widen communication channels with several stakeholders.

The step was taken by holding a meeting with the West Java Provincial Cooperative and Small Business Service at the Diskuk Jabar Office building on Monday (5/10/2026).

The meeting discussed various issues faced by KKMP, ranging from institutional strengthening, the need for policy support, to accelerating cooperative operations at the village level.

The Head of Empowerment Division of the West Java Provincial Cooperative and Small Business Service, H.M. Supriadi, appreciated the existence of the KKMP Communication Forum of Tasikmalaya City.

According to him, the forum can serve as a communication and coordination space to convey cooperative aspirations and needs to stakeholders in accordance with their authority.

However, during the discussion on accelerating KKMP operations, Supriadi explained that not all problems can be directly handled by the provincial government.

He said that several aspects are outside the authority of the provincial government and therefore require coordination with ministries/agencies or other institutions according to their respective duties and functions.

This means that KKMP’s problems cannot be resolved by knocking on a single door. There are several other authority doors that must also be opened so that the needs of cooperatives at the village level do not stop at the bureaucratic desk.

The KKMP Communication Forum of Tasikmalaya City emphasized that the communication built is not solely for organizational interests.

The forum aims to ensure that KKMP can truly provide economic benefits to the community in every village.

The Chairman of the KKMP Communication Forum of Tasikmalaya City, Shofian Muhtar, said that his party continues to conduct tiered communication with various stakeholders.

“This is the stage of silaturahmi that we carry out in stages. From these meetings, as predicted, we obtained a picture of the authority answers and the scope of intervention of each party,” said Shofian.

From this series of communications, his party now has an understanding of the limits of authority and the scope of intervention of each agency.

Shofian said that the KKMP Communication Forum of Tasikmalaya City will further expand communication, including with the central government and Agrinas.

“Furthermore, we will continue to expand communication, including conducting silaturahmi with the central government and Agrinas,” he said.
