PANGANDARAN, Thecuy.com – During September 2026, the transaction value of fish catches at the Minasari Pangandaran Village Unit Cooperation (KUD) reached approximately Rp6.03 billion. This figure marks a substantial increase compared to the previous period, which was around Rp2.1 billion.
The head of KUD Minasari Pangandaran, Jeje Wiradinata, stated that this increase represents an extraordinary achievement. He believes that the high transaction value indicates a positive development in fishermen’s activities at the fish auction site (TPI).
“Thank God, this September the turnover hit roughly over Rp6 billion, specifically Rp6,030,000,000. It’s an amazing milestone. Last year it was only Rp2.1 billion, now it’s Rp6 billion,” he noted on Friday (2/1/2026).

Jeje considered that the increase in transactions at least provides insight into the economic activities of the fishing community. Based on the transaction value, the scale of the economic circulation derived from fish catches can be observed.
“First, this roughly illustrates our people’s activities. We can calculate their income,” he said.
According to Jeje, the increase in transactions is also linked to the high enthusiasm of fishermen to transact through KUD Minasari.
“Second, the fishermen’s enthusiasm to transact at this KUD is very high. From Rp2 billion previously, it’s now Rp6 billion—a jump of Rp3 billion,” he stated.
However, Jeje said that the large transaction value does not immediately serve as a measure of fishermen’s welfare. Therefore, his side is still conducting an evaluation to determine how much the transaction contributes to the economic condition of the fishermen.
“What matters most is that I’m calculating the significance of the Rp6 billion figure on fishermen’s welfare. That’s what I’m evaluating,” he said.
Based on monitoring results during September, Jeje also noted that price developments for several types of fish were quite favorable. Dominant catches included threadfish, black bream, and mackerel.

“Over this month, I’ve observed that fish prices have improved. The dominance of catches like threadfish, black bream, and mackerel has been good,” he said.
In addition to fish, shrimp catches were also considered to show good progress. Jeje hopes the condition can be maintained so that fishermen’s economic activities in Pangandaran continue to develop. ‘Shrimp has also been good. Insya Allah, it will surely go well,’ he said.
