Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will begin streaming exclusively for Prime Video members in Japan on September 19, 2026, marking exactly one year since its theatrical debut. A new visual was also released alongside the announcement. Chainsaw Man International Assassins Arc anime is currently in production.
The film premiered in Japanese theaters on September 19, 2025, continuing where the first season of the Chainsaw Man TV anime left off. It portrays Denji’s journey after meeting Reze, a young woman who works at a local café; the two quickly form a strong bond, and this encounter reshapes his everyday existence. The movie earned the Anime Movie of the Year award at our sixth annual awards ceremony.
By June 19, 2026, the movie had grossed over ¥29.7 billion worldwide at the box office.

Tatsuki Fujimoto began the Chainsaw Man manga in 2018, concluding Part 1 in 2020 after 97 chapters and 11 volumes. Part 2 started in July 2022, spanning 135 chapters until its final chapter on March 25. Viz Media holds the English licensing rights.
The inaugural anime season debuted in autumn last year, consisting of 12 episodes. MAPPA’s CEO, Manabu Otsuka, confirmed that the Chainsaw Man anime was a complete financial triumph. Kenshi Yonezu contributed the opening theme “KICK BACK,” while each episode featured a distinct ending theme performed by different artists.

Denji is a teenage boy sharing his life with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Burdened by his deceased father’s debt, he endures a harsh existence while hunting devil corpses alongside Pochita. One day he is betrayed, killed, and, as his consciousness fades, makes a pact with Pochita, awakening as “Chainsaw Man”—a being with a devil’s heart.
