Thecuy.com – Arema FC has opted to end its contract with Brazilian international forward Joel Vinicius Silva dos Anjos on a permanent basis during the initial transfer period of the 2026/2027 Super League. The move followed a comprehensive review conducted by the club’s executive board and head coach after the pre-season Piala Presiden tournament.
Evaluasi dan Pertimbangan Filosofi Pelatih
Arema FC’s General Manager, Yusrinal Fitriandi, clarified that the release of Vinicius was not a hasty choice. The club carried out an assessment focusing on how the team’s make‑up aligns with coach Marcos Santos’ tactical vision. Inal stressed that a proper mix of foreign and local talent is essential for the side to start the season on a competitive footing.
“We have released Joel Vinicius on a permanent basis to adjust the squad for the upcoming 2026/2027 Super League campaign,” Yusrinal stated in the club’s official communiqué dated August 25, 2026.
Kontribusi Joel Vinicius di Arema FC
Even after his departure, Arema FC’s management praised Vinicius for his commitment and effort throughout his tenure. After joining the club in the middle of the 2025/2026 season from Borneo FC, he netted eight goals and contributed one assist across 15 matches.
Yusrinal added, “We appreciate Joel’s dedication, hard work, and professional demeanor during his time with Arema FC. We wish him every success in his upcoming career endeavors.”
Latar Belakang Karier Vinicius
At 31, Joel Vinicius brings a wealth of experience from competitions across Southeast Asia. Prior to his stint in Indonesia, he featured for multiple Vietnamese sides, including Ho Chi Minh City FC, Song Lam Nghe An FC, and Than Quang Ninh FC, which enhanced his profile as a seasoned foreign talent in the Indonesian league.
Dampak dan Harapan Arema FC
Dropping Vinicius fits within Arema FC’s plan to reshape the squad for the 2026/2027 Super League. The club’s management aims to construct a balanced side that shares a unified tactical philosophy, ensuring the team can perform at its best.
Arema FC is continually bolstering its roster and preparing for the forthcoming season, with an emphasis on elevating performance levels and securing top-tier outcomes.
