Manga Mavericks Books revealed two fresh English‑language manga licences during its Anime NYC 2026 presentation: Yohei Sajita’s futuristic action title MIDNIGHT ROBOT and Akahachi’s boys’ love series ARAI-KUN & HARUMA-SENPAI. The publisher also issued an update concerning the imminent English release of The Sword of Paros.
MIDNIGHT ROBOT Volume 1 will be launched together in print and digital formats in May 2027. This 236‑page instalment will be sold for $19.99 as a hardcover book and $6.99 as an e‑book, aimed at readers aged 13 and above.
Yohei Sajita initially self‑published MIDNIGHT ROBOT in 2015. It was later taken up by Hayakawa Publishing for serialisation on their Hayacomi web platform beginning in 2024. The series employs a bold red‑and‑black two‑color palette, which Manga Mavericks Books intends to keep in its A5 English edition. According to the publisher, this marks the series’ first ever printed release worldwide.

Recovering Color Pages for The Sword of Paros
Manga Mavericks Books gave a progress report on its English version of The Sword of Paros. Having secured approval from Fairbell Inc. and illustrator Yumiko Igarashi, the company is now retrieving and refurbishing the original color illustrations that appeared in Monthly Asuka from 1986‑1987.
A number of pages have been successfully reclaimed, yet the publisher still needs examples of the June, August, and November 1986 editions as well as the January and February 1987 editions of Monthly Asuka.
