TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – Rd Diky Candra, Deputy Mayor of Tasikmalaya, welcomed a visit from the Student Forum of Tasikmalaya Regency and City on Thursday (13/8/2026). He pledged support to ensure the forum retains a creative space for further growth.
At the gathering, students introduced the Student Forum of Tasikmalaya Regency and City and outlined several programs that have been planned and carried out.
Diky said he was impressed by the ideas and organizational concepts developed by the students. In his view, despite the forum being only about two years old, its organizational structure and division of tasks were quite good.

“They have created several divisions with creative program designs. Although this Student Forum has only been running for about two years, after observing its organizational scheme, I consider it to be quite good. Moreover, they are all still high school students,” he said.
He believes that such creativity should be maintained and practiced consistently. If it can be sustained, the activities of the Student Forum can become a positive outlet and a hope for the growth of creativity among young people in Tasikmalaya City.
“I hope they remain steadfast and continue to be creative, united, and independent,” he said.
Diky also expressed his desire to support the continuation of the students’ positive activities. However, he said he did not want to make promises beyond his authority as deputy mayor.
“I am not brave enough to make promises due to my limited authority. However, I am very willing to help them stay committed to developing themselves in positive and creative ways,” he said.
According to Diky, creative space for students should continue to be provided. In addition to being a means to develop potential, organizational activities can also train students. “Because, in their golden age, it must be optimized to learn to cooperate, be independent, and be responsible,” he explained.
