The inauguralexhibition centered on the Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- anime has unveiled a new key visual prior to its Tokyo debut later this year. Named the TV Anime Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Exhibition -10th Anniversary-, the event marks a decade since the anime’s debut in 2016. This coincides with the completion of Re:ZERO Season 4’s first arc, followed by the second arc, The Recapture Arc, set to stream on August 12.
The exhibition will display production materials from the entire anime adaptation, including original animation, storyboards, and behind-the-scenes content. Some exhibits feature items never before released to the public. Interactive displays inspired by iconic anime scenes, such as photo booths and video installations, will also be available.
Tappei Nagatsuki, the original author, shared remarks about the event:
“This exhibition captures the ten-year journey of Re:ZERO, from Season 1 to Season 4!” He added, “I’m joking when I say ‘ten years of love,’ but the anime is full of enjoyable moments that make those words light.”
He noted that anime and novels differ in expressing emotions, yet both can convey the same feelings through unique methods. The detailed craftsmanship in the anime often surprises even him, making it hard to fully grasp after just a few viewings. Visitors are encouraged to experience these aspects firsthand.
Whether you’ve followed the series for a decade or are new to it, the exhibition offers an entertaining way to celebrate the future of Re:ZERO.
The event runs from September 12 to October 4 at Shibuya BEAM Gallery in Tokyo, with some dates requiring advance reservations.
