Afresh trailer for ONE PIECE HEROINES, a TV special inspired by the ONE PIECE novel HEROINES, has been unveiled. The theme music, titled “Blue Shining Star,” will be performed by AiNA THE END.

Drawing from the NAMI episode in Jun Esaka’s ONE PIECE novel HEROINES series, this adaptation explores a different facet of Nami’s character. It introduces new elements, including cameos by characters like Nico Robin. Here’s the official summary:

Nami visits a shop after buying shoes that cause her pain. Dissatisfied, she meets Lebno, a designer, who proposes, “I’ll craft custom shoes for you—if you model them.” The artisan Miucha creates the footwear, leading to a surprising and fashionable interaction.

Directed by Haruka Kamatani, ONE PIECE HEROINES features character design by Takashi Kojima. Momoka Toyoda wrote the script, while Alisa Okehazama handled the music. The special will air during the main anime’s schedule on July 5.

The trailer also showcases AiNA THE END’s theme song:

“I was selected to perform the theme song for ONE PIECE HEROINES, an anime celebrating heroines from ONE PIECE. ‘Blue Shining Star’ aims to depict strong women overcoming life’s challenges. It’s an energetic, danceable track, so I hope viewers enjoy it alongside the anime.”

The spin-off novel emphasizes female protagonists in ONE PIECE, spanning two volumes with eight chapters each, plus an extra chapter per volume. Each chapter highlights a distinct heroine:

  • Bonus Chapter: Nami & Robin – A Fleeting Moment
  • Chapter 1: Nami – The Shoe Must Go On!
  • Chapter 2: Robin – The Archeologist’s Unscrambled Eggs
  • Chapter 3: Vivi – The Blue Rose and the Writingale
  • Chapter 4: Perona – Nightmare of the Drifting Barrel
  • Bonus Chapter: Nami – Don’t Let Me Go
  • Chapter 5: Hancock – Why Grandma Nyon Keeled Over
  • Chapter 6: Tashigi – There’s Something About Her
  • Chapter 7: Reiju – A Terrible Cook
  • Chapter 8: Uta – Where the Wind Goes

Written by Jun Esaka, created by Eiichiro Oda, and illustrated by Sayaka Suwa, the novel complements the anime.

A new broadcast plan for the main ONE PIECE anime was announced. The Elbaph Island arc starts in April, with plans to release up to 26 episodes annually from 2026, each adapting one manga chapter. Episode 1168 will debut on June 28, followed by a break as ONE PIECE HEROINES premieres the subsequent week.
