DarkSummoner to Dekiteiru’s (I’m Dating a Dark Summoner) creators unveiled a fresh visual for the upcoming anime version of Shaoh’s erotic fantasy romance manga. They also revealed the series will debut in October. Seiya Miyajima, known for directing chibi anime OVAs like Umayuru, Umayon, and D4DJ Petit Mix, will helm Dark Summoner to Dekiteiru.
Supporting the project are Aoki Yasuhiro as producer, Daiki Ura handling color design, Fumihiko Ootera as sound director, Kota Hashiguchi as producer, Sen Hayashima for editing, Takahiro Sasaki in charge of character design and chief animation, Yamamoto Youichirou as art director, and Yuu Oozu as director of photography.
AtoriE and Nyan Pollution-ω- (Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android?) will co-produce the animation.
The voice cast features Rei Takano as Amona, the dark summoner; Yuki Nishiyama as Roni, the holy priest; and Senmai Hodentei as Imp.
Since WWWave Corporation’s Deregula label is part of the production, viewers may see censored and uncensored versions. Limited edition book cards with the new visual are being given away via the anime’s official X account as part of a promotional event.
Shaoh, the writer and illustrator, first introduced Dark Summoner to Dekiteiru in Fujimi Shobo’s Dra Dra Sharp’s KadoComi. KadoComi and Niconico Seiga have serialized the manga since December 2011. Seven tankobon volumes have been released so far.
The story follows Roni, a holy priest whose peaceful life turns chaotic when Amona, a dark summoner, joins his party. Despite their conflicting beliefs and constant arguments, their bond deepens into something more. While they share intimate moments, neither acknowledges their feelings. Their group and outsiders may assume they are dating, but neither confirms it. Will they eventually confront their tsundere attitudes and embrace their love?
