Apple just reported its highest quarterly revenue ever, driven by record iPhone sales, which also boosted the global active user base. Tim Cook highlighted that as of January 2026, Apple has 2.5 billion active devices worldwide, including iPhones, Macs, iPads, and other Apple products in use. This represents a 150 million unit increase from the same period last year, showing strong growth in Apple’s ecosystem.

The iPhone’s performance was exceptional, contributing $85.27 billion in revenue, up from $69 billion in the same quarter last year. Cook attributed this success to the high demand for the iPhone 16 series throughout 2025 and the upcoming iPhone 17 launch. Sales in the United States, China, and India hit record highs, with iPhones dominating the market in China.

Over half of iPad buyers are new users, and Apple Watch sales also saw a surge with half of purchasers being first-time users. This trend underscores Apple’s ability to attract both existing and new customers through product innovation.

The combination of record sales and expanding user numbers reflects Apple’s strong market position. The iPhone 16 and 17 launches are expected to further solidify this growth.

The continuous rise in active devices and revenue highlights Apple’s resilience in a competitive tech landscape. It shows how strategic product development and customer satisfaction can create lasting impact. This success also sets a benchmark for other tech companies to follow.
