TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com — A brutal act of alcohol-fueled violence resurfaces in Rajapolah, Tasikmalaya. A young individual, under the influence, assaulted a cafe employee with a knife after the victim refused to comply with their demands.
The incident occurred on a Sunday night (March 22, 2026) around 9:30 PM WIB at a parking area near a restaurant in Kampung Igok, Tanjungpura village, Rajapolah sub-district.
According to the Kasatreskrim of Polres Tasikmalaya, the perpetrator arrived at the location with two companions in a disoriented state. Instead of enjoying the scene, they subjected the situation to public mockery.
“They came to the cafe with friends while intoxicated. They ordered drinks inside,” stated AKP Herman Saputra, Kasatreskrim of Polres Tasikmalaya, on March 26.
The victim, a cafe staff member, attempted to calm the situation but was met with aggression. The assailants led the victim to the parking area, where they inflicted brutal injuries using a knife.
The victim, Yogi (23), a resident of Rajapolah, suffered severe wounds requiring five stitches. Police swiftly acted, apprehending the suspect, MF (21), who had his residence in Ciawi but was last seen in Bandung. He was arrested along with a knife, clothing, and a torn pants.
The case was forwarded to the Rutan of Polres Tasikmalaya for further legal proceedings. On March 25, the suspect was handed over to authorities.
This event highlights the risks of combining alcohol with reckless behavior, often leading to severe consequences. Instead of a casual story, the aftermath involves police reports and legal actions.
The perpetrator faces charges under Law No. 1 of 2023 concerning violence.
This incident serves as a stark reminder of how impaired judgment can escalate into violence. It calls for heightened awareness and responsible actions in public settings to prevent such tragedies.
